Yesterday it was Martin Luther King Jr. Day in the USA, which got me thinking about life’s accomplishments and one’s dreams. He had a dream, about civil and racial equality, and did see some of it come true, even though he was assassinated so young really.
Other than having dreams, I doubt there’s much similarity between his life and ours. But, this musing made me realize how incredibly lucky Rod and I are. Here we are, living in Paris. Living a dream we’ve always had. Living a dream that probably many people have. And, we’ve taken advantage of this opportunity and not squandered it, I believe. But, like all dreams, this time here has to end. But, unlike most dreams, which fade quickly, our memories of the time here will be strong and treasured.
