Well, the weather held and we got to go up Mr Eiffel’s Tower. It was cold, but sunny and the air was crispy clear, so the views were great—only from the 1st and 2nd levels, unfortunately, as the 3rd level was closed for ‘works’. Many people were visiting, but the lines were nothing like what we saw between Christmas and New Year (which was the main reason we all decided not to bother visiting then).Try to go in the late afternoon and stay a while, so you see Paris in the clear sunlight, then in the warm golden shades of sunset, and later when all the sparkling lights come on, including those on the actual Eiffel Tower.Later I’ll write about the actual Tower, but for now here are a selection of pics—mainly to show that Paris is not always polluted!
