WEATHER WOES
Another Arctic Blast hits us this week here in the Midwest; our high today will be 18F (-8C) if we’re lucky, and that’s not even considering the wind-chill factor, or trying to trudge through snow or over icy pavements (sidewalks). We’ve only been back 3 weeks, and already Rod is saying, “I’ve had enough of this winter!”
We thought we’d adapted to the weather here, after coming from much warmer southern Africa, but apparently not: Even our short stay in Paris has blown that! Even with its sometimes freezing winds and grey skies. Oh well, we’ll get used to it, and all those other things we find ourselves missing from our Parisian life (See next posting).
Below: What we saw from the dining room window.
In Lozere (Paris) in later January: snowdrops
In Urbana (USA) the last day of January: snow. It took me quite a while to shovel all that (Rod was away on a work trip).

You’re lucky you don’t live in England! Such a depth of snow (what? Four inches?) would have ‘brought the country to a standstill’ !!
