“Evolution” by Albin Polasek
This world-renowned Czech-American sculptor has many evocative works on display at the Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Garden in Winter Park, Florida (very close to Orlando). This wonderful statue in the gardens tells a story, in a way very reminiscent of Michelangelo, I think. Doesn’t this remind you of one of Michelangelo’s “Captive Slaves”? A different kind of Evolution to that in Charles Darwin’s mind.
