Sheffield Beach: Life in the sub-tropics
On our way to the famous Hluhluwe-Imfolzi Game Park (for our own safari), we night-stopped at Sheffield Beach, a small town on the north natal coast, about a half hour north of Durban. Everything is fenced and gated, as is usual for most properties is South Africa—for security purposes. Here we captured a cute picture of the local troop of Vervet monkeys in the trees by the gate to the place where we stayed. To enter, you have to press in a security code on the entrance buzzer—-wonder how long it might take for a smart monkey to work that out?!!
The other picture is of the fabulous view of the Indian Ocean from our balcony. Some days you’ll see dolphins frolicking, but we didn’t as it was actually very stormy.
